David Eijadi, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) Board Member and Principal of The Weidt Group, has received the 2011 Inspiring Efficiency Chairman's Award for his leadership and outstanding commitment to the growth of MEEA and the advancement of energy efficiency in the Midwest. Eijadi has served on the MEEA Board of Directors since 2002, and was Chairman from 2007 to 2010. During his tenure, he provided crucial guidance and leadership as MEEA underwent a period of unprecedented growth. His oversight was especially key during the organization's restructuring in 2008, when MEEA's staff and membership both doubled. As a LEED Accredited Professional with more than 30 years of experience, David and his staff at The Weidt Group also provided valuable design services during the organization's office move in 2005 that allowed MEEA to attain a LEED CI rating. The Weidt Group, an energy consulting and software design firm that conducts business internationally, has offices in Minnetonka, MN, Des Moines, IA, Tampa, FL, Berkley, CA, Grand Rapids, MI, and Denver.
