The New Construction Service provides education, financial incentives and technical assistance to help building owners and design teams exceed the energy efficiency standards set by Illinois building codes. ComEd launched the program in 2009 and selected the Energy Center of Wisconsin to implement the program. Nicor Gas joined the program in 2011. Together, ComEd and Nicor Gas have developed an integrated, joint approach to support long-term energy savings objectives. The program offers customized design expertise and incentives to transform the commercial building design market and inspire greater investment in energy efficiency.
